Kayla Cashetta is a composer whose projects include concert works, electronic music, and collaborations with dancers and filmmakers. Her music has been performed at venues and festivals such as the Center for New Music, soundSCAPE, and the Fontainebleau Summer Sessions, and has worked with ensembles including the Eco Ensemble, Splinter Reeds, Longleash, and the Quince Ensemble. She was recently a winner of National Sawdust’s inaugural Hildegard Competition in Brooklyn, New York, where she performed live analog electronics in her commissioned work, “Anima”, with the Refugee Orchestra Project. She also records and performs with her experimental pop trio, Maenu. Kayla is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at UC Berkeley.
